In this picture is the head of NPF Anti-cultism department, Charlie boy, Gbagada station. He’s known as Omo Eko.
arrested when they were returning from lunch break at queens street, Sabo, Yaba. He reported that he was dragged into a danfo and the bus drove away. Along the way, they were picking boys on the street who have not committed any offense but were picked because of their hairstyle. On getting to reach him, he told us he’s at Charlie boy station. Getting to Charlie boy station, I was asked to sign in, pay for signing in which I refused, dropped my phone and proceed to meet Omo Eko who’s their leader. On speaking with him, he told me…
to set him free, I must pay 5 0 (meaning 50 thousand naira). Kindly note that they were not taken to the main building. They were attended to by the side in their premises/compound which shows it’s an illegal raid. I made some calls and someone from PCRC Ikeja called the charlie boy station office and someone came out. He informed omo eko that he should set my guy free because he got a call from Ikeja command. Then and there, he changed his tone to a calm one and told me I am using power from above and insisted I drop 5k cash.
which I did to leave the place at around past 6. I also witness someone without help paid 50k cash on the spot. They were allowed to make one call for help. Please do something. This is how SARS started terrorizing the environment. Thank you.
It could be recalled that last year, due to complaints of corruption and poor conduct, the Lagos State police was forced to sack the commander of the Anti-Cult Squad.
The police also replaced and deployed many personnel of the squad considered to be an elitist unit.
Mr. Chike Oti, the command’s spokesman disclosed that the officer-in-charge of the unit, Mr. Godwin Agbegbe, was specifically removed because of allegations of unprofessional conduct and corrupt practices, yet the squad still harass and arrest innocent Nigerians over no crime.
