Hazard’s free-kick into the box travelled all the way through to the forward beyond the back stick. He took touch to control before drilling a left-footed effort towards the target. It travelled through a crowd of players before finding the bottom corner.
5 minutes later. Pedro converts to double the lead for Chelsea. The Blues took control of the contest as the Spaniard converts in the box. Chelsea built down the left flank and Alonso was afforded space and time to fire a low cross into the penalty area. Palace failed to cut out the danger and Pedro times his run before firing past the keeper from 10 yards.
A well deserved victory for the Blues.
