The American grabbed his first hat trick to help Frank Lampard’s Chelsea hammer Burnley and secure all 3 points at Turf Moor.
The Blues grabbed the lead 21 minutes into the game. Pulisic picked up a loose ball and drives at Tarkowski.
On the stroke of half time, the American doubled his tally, a similar goal to the opener. A loose ball droped to him in midfield after Willian made a good interception and he drives straight at the penalty area.
56 minutes on, Pulisic scores his third goal and third for the Blues with a header. They won a corner off Lowton on the right, and while the defender was on hand to make the near-post clearance from the corner, he doesn’t get it right.
2 minutes later, Willian gets on the scoresheet to make it 4-0. The Blues won the ball at the left-back position and find Abraham, who carries the ball through the centre.
86 minutes on the clock, Rodriguez picks the ball up in midfield and nobody closed him down so he just has a pop. 25 yards out, right foot, top-right corner to pull one back for Burnley.
3 minutes later, Burnley scored again to make it 4-2. McNeil came infield from the right after an exchange of passes with Brady, hits a fairly weak-looking left-footed shot, but it deflects unkindly off Tomori and beats Kepa at the near post.
Lampard will surely be unhappy with his side for letting Burnley grab two late goals. But its three points assured for the Blues’ boss.
