Chelsea took the advantage at the break, thanks to a goal from Pulisic after he capitalised on a big mistake by City.
The visitors enjoyed more possession, but didn’t have too many chances in front of goal.
The Blues took the lead after a quick counter-attack, with Mendy and Gundogan failing to deal with the ball on the halfway line, allowing Pulisic to race through on goal and put Chelsea ahead.
But City pulled level in 55th minutes after a superb free-kick by De Bruyne. The midfielder gets the ball over the wall and it dips straight into the top left-hand corner of the net, giving Kepa no chance of saving it.
City were later reduced to 10 men, Fernandinho was sent off after blocking the shot on the goal line, denying Chelsea a goal. The defender had no complaints, giving Chelsea the opportunity to take the lead once again.
Meanwhile City will travel to Newcastle at the weekend.
