Watford turned scape goat as Manchester City went full throttle after their 3-2 defeat to Norwich as a super first half display washed away their opponents.
52 seconds into the game Manchester City took the lead as Kevin De Bruyne was given time and space to pick out a perfect cross for David Silva to open the scoring for City.
The stellar start to the game saw City double their lead in the 7th minute as Sergio Aguero scored his 100th goal in the Etihad from the penalty spot as Riyad Mahrez was caught by on rushing Ben Foster.
Riyad Mahrez the man in form put City 3-0 goals ahead in the 12th minute coming from a curling free kick which was deflected by Tom Cleverly as the ball walked its way to an empty net.
With 14 minutes on the clock City were running roit as Bernardo Silva nodded home from close range as Otamendi’s header from a corner met him kindly to put City 4-0 up.
City increased their lead in the 18th minute as a quick David Silva free kick set up Aguero who’s low driven pass met Otamendi who turned goal scorer for City’s 5th goal in the game.
Bernardo Silva added his second of the game as City capitalized on a poor clearance from the Watford defence as the Portuguese worked his way to make it 6-0 to City in the 47th minute.
Bernado Silva got his first hattrick for Manchester City as De Bruyne hit yet again another super assist as a Tap in put City 7-0 up in a one sided match.
Creator and Finisher, De Bruyne put the icing on the cake as a Counter attack ended with the Belgian rattling the back of the net to call the tie to an emphatic end.
