Former Deputy Director, Public Relations of the Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA), Evangelist Obum Akawor, JP; FCAI, was on Saturday coronated as the Onye-Nwe Ali (Paramount Ruler) Egberu-Ndoki Community in Oyigbo local government area of Rivers state.
The coronation was held in his compound as the crowning ceremony was performed at about 3.00p.m in the prying eyes of cameramen, press men and highly placed dignitaries.
A mammoth crowd also gathered at the venue as they were chatting, singing, dancing and heaping praises on their new king.
The dignitaries who witnessed the ceremony are;
Chief John Ngeto, Paramount Ruler – Agbo_nchia community, Eleme local govt.
Ihueze Akawor (Acting Chairman) in the absence of Chief Marc Inyanagbo Wabara.

Dr. Moses Nwankpa, proprietor – Morrison International school, Port Harcourt.
Dr Moses Nwankpa in his remark recalled how he grew up with Evang. Obum Akawor and tagged him the David (in the bible) of our time.
Dr Moses charged the new king to always listen to his people and carry everybody along.
The Paramount Ruler of Agbonchia community, Chief John Ngeto, who also recalled working with the new King severally in the past said that he trust the new Egberu Ndoki Paramount Ruler will bring development to his people and village.
He, however charged Evang. Obum Akawor to unite with everyone and work for the benefit of the people.
While Chief Chijioke George added that he wouldn’t have been where he is today if not for the family of the new King. He added that the King is his mentor and urged him to lead his people well.
The Onye-Nwe Ali, Evang. Obum Akawor in his remark, sang praises to God and sent warm appreciation to everyone for honouring his invitation.
He noted that he has come to free his people from their long term pains and backwardness. The king said that God will celebrate them the same way they all trooped out to celebrate him.
He charged his people to work hand in hand with him for the growth and development of the community.
The Paramount Ruler, who was filled with joy all through the occasion, had his beautiful wife, who was in the same mood, beside him as well.
Earlier, Nekabari Kobo, Deputy Director service department, Niger Delta Basin Development Authority, who represented the management of NDBDA Port Harcourt presented his speech.
