The Rivers State Ministry of Water Resources has announced that in January 2022, it will commence a complete crackdown on fake water manufacturers in Port Harcourt and its environs.Rivers govt to clampdown on fake water factories

In a statement, the Ministry stated that anyone caught in the act will be prosecuted according to the laws of the land.

It added that such individuals have no way out because they are collaborating with security authorities to eliminate the threat.

The State Water Ministry also announced that it has completed days of intense training for employees on how to detect sham water.

No escape route for fake water factories. We will begin total clampdown in January. We have concluded days of intensive training for staff on how to monitor counterfeit water,” it said.
