Some members of the Taskforce dissolved by Rivers state governor – Ezenwo Nyesom Wike have blamed their leaders for allowing bad eggs to infiltrate into their ranks.
They said strange persons infiltrated the taskforce and were given uniforms.
They blamed the State Government for not training them and are also demanding their 2 months’ salaries.

However, Commissioner for Information, Paulinus Nsirim, says all those recruited into the taskforce were properly profiled and dismissed claims that the taskforce was infiltrated.
He further dismissed claims by the members of the disbanded task force that they were not trained.
He also said the office of the Secretary to the state government will oversee issues of impounded vehicles.
Mr. Nsirim said it’s not true that the members of the taskforce are owed any salary.
