The Pride of Rivers were trailing 2-1 from the first leg and only an outright win would seal their passage into the next preliminary round and the Stanley Eguma side grabbed the victory.
Godwin Aguda gave the home side the lead just 12 minutes into the game with a power header.
Kehinde Adedipe then doubled the lead 39 minutes on with a scorching effort from inside the box.
Captain of the day Ebenezer Kunle Odunlami has won it for Rivers United.

Rivers United went into the first half break with a deserved 2-0 lead before Asu Pedro pulled one back for Futuro 7 minutes into the second half to make it 3-3 on aggregate.
It all ended in penalties and the Wike boys pulled through with 2-0 win as goalkeeper – Ospino Egbe was the hero for the “Pride of Rivers”.
