Arsenal supporters in Rwanda, organised via the Rwanda Arsenal Fan Club, have donated food and hygiene items to the most vulnerable families in Kigali Province of the country.
They have collected and delivered relief packages, consisting of rice, cooking oil, maize flour, sugar and beans.
Such donations are annual and are connected with commemoration of the 1994 genocide victims.
Rwanda remains one of the poorest countries in the world due to the effects of the massacre that claimed the lives of several hundred thousand Tutsi people.
The country is currently on lockdown to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. There are currently 143 confirmed cases of the disease.
This was disclosed on their official twitter page – @ArsenalRwanda
“Arsenal fans in Rwanda today delivered emergency relief donation to 430 family members of Kigarama cell, Gasabo district. It is the 6th year in a row that RAFC is standing in solidarity with survivors of the Genocide against Tutsi during the commemoration period.”
