The Reds continued their 100% winning record this Premier League season, coming from behind to secure a 3-1 victory over Newcastle United, thanks to Sadio Mane’s double at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Mohamed Salah was also on target to grab the decider in Liverpool’s favour.
The visitors opened scoring 7 minutes into the game as Atsu drifts into a central area, takes the ball down well and slips it out wide for Willems.
28 minutes on, Mane pulled the host back on level terms with a top-class finish. Robertson played him into the box from the left and the Senegal forward opens up his body before rifling a shot into the very top-right corner of the net.
5 minutes before half time break, Mane doubled his tally to give Liverpool the lead. Firmino wins the ball off Atsu in midfield and slides it through for Mane. Dubravka gets there first but couldn’t hold the ball and it deflects off him and straight into Mane’s path to tap into an empty net
72 minutes, Salah makes it 3-1 for the host. Roberto Firmino sets Salah on his way and the Egyptian simply walks through the Newcastle defence before slotting it across Dubravka and into the corner.
Jurgen Klopp is not ready to flop with this Liverpool side as they grabbed another 3 points to maintain top spot.
