Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero was subbed off at the brink of halftime after a challenge from Ben Mee resulted in a penalty and a potential injury.

An MRI scan shows that Sergio Agüero had damaged the meniscus in his knee but it is not yet known if he needs surgery. Either way, the player expects to be unavailable for five to seven weeks.

The Argentine is expected to arrive in Barcelona for consultation with Dr Cugat. He’s hopeful of featuring in the Champions League but his Premier League season appears to be over.
