Charley Boy, popularly known as Area Fada has taken to social media to dish out a piece of advice to all Igbos living or plying their trade in Lagos to leave the state and create an economic hub themselves.
Charley boy stated this after fake news circulated on social media, on the plan attack on Igbo traders in Lagos as the Yorubas urged the Igbos to leave their land for not voting for President Muhammadu Buhari during the 2019 general election.
The Imo state born charged the Igbos to move their businesses from Lagos to the eastern part of the country as it seems that they are no longer welcomed in Lagos anymore.
His tweets reads:
“I beg our Igbo brothers wey dey lagos, to learn from the people of NNEWI. Nnewi/Onitsha and Aba can be your lagos. Fuck it, you guys can create an economic hub for yourselves, no be una? Show dem dat you can face anything and rise. Umu Biafra kweenu!!!!”
Some of his followers felt he was instigating tribal war through his tweet and believed that Nigeria is one but needs to be fixed.
While others accepted his view as they feel like there is nothing like one Nigeria.
It could be recalled that during the presidential and National Assembly elections, there were report that in some part of Lagos, Igbos were stopped from voting, while in some other parts, their votes were burnt.
Hitvibz gathered from a source that ahead of the governorship elections the Obas of Lagos had announced that any none Yoruba should not come out to vote if they are not voting for the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC).
Perhaps these development is the reason for Charley Boy’s advice to the igbos.
