Manchester City ran riot over Italian Side Atlanta at the Etihad Stadium as they looked to book a spot in the Round of 16 of the Champions League.

Atlanta took the lead in the 28th minute after Fernandinho brought down Ilicic, and Malinovskyi converted from the spot to give them the lead.

City equalized in the 34th minute after Raheem Sterling had a cut inside and found Sergio Aguero who made no mistake applying the finishing touch to equalize for City.

City took a 2-1 lead in the 38th minute with a penalty of their of after Raheem Sterling raced into the box and was brought down. Aguero got his brace from the resulting spot kick to give City a first half lead.

Sterling got his name in the score sheet in the 58th minute after a quick counter was started out with a beautiful pass from Mahrez which got to De Bruyne who made space for a pass to Foden who’s deft touch laid the ball for Sterling to blast the ball into the net and give City a 3-1 lead.

Sterling got his brace in the 64th minute cutting inside a firing home from Ilkay Gundogan’s through ball to put City 4-1 up.

Few minutes later Raheem Sterling completed an 11 minute hattrick, stealing a volley from close range after Mahrez placed in a great ball from the right.
