A Gold toilet has been reported stolen from Blenheim Palace which is the birthplace of Winston Churchill.
UNITED KINGDOM – Weston Churchill’s Former home played host to the 18 century Gold Toilet this week in an art exhibition that was open to the public to visit as well as use the functioning Gold toilet.
The art piece toilet known as America is worth £1 million and was created by Italian conceptual artist Maurizio Cattelan.
Today police confirmed the toilet has been stolen and are investigating.
Reports say the thieves made away with the toilet and left a lot of damage and flooding
According to the police a 66-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the theft.
Detective Inspector Jess Milne said:
“The piece of art that has been stolen is a high value toilet made out of gold that was on display at the palace.
“Due to the toilet being plumbed in to the building, this has caused significant damage and flooding.
“The artwork has not been recovered at this time but we are conducting a thorough investigation to find it and bring those responsible to justice.”
