Real Madrid has announced that midfielder, Toni Kroos has signed a new contract with the club.
The peice of news was released by the club in an official statement from their website stating that Toni Kroos has extended his stay at the Spanish capital till 2023.
The 29 year old signed for Real Madrid in 2014 from Bayern Munich– scoring 23 times in 233 appearances, and his previous contract was due to expire in 2022.
There had been rumours initially making the rounds that Real wanted to sell the player, but the newly signed contract extension has now further shown the club’s commitment to the star midfielder and how he’s still part of the club’s plans moving ahead.
Kroos made 32 appearances for Real Madrid in the just concluded 2018/2019 season, scoring three times and making six assists. It is expected to be the German’s last contract for the Spanish giants considering his age.
He had the third most key passes in the just concluded Laliga Santander season.
