It’s 2024 and we’ve decided to compile list of top 10 female Nigerian Artistes to watch out for this year. Nigeria’s music scene has witnessed a remarkable surge in talent over the years, with female artists also playing a big role in shaping the industry.
In no particular order, here’s a list of the top 10 female Nigerian artists to watch out for in 2024.
1. Tiwa Savage:
A veteran in the industry, Tiwa Savage continues to dominate with her versatile sound while collaborating with new talented artists.
Known for her powerful vocals, appeal, and compelling stage presence, she remains a force to be reckoned with. Judging by her consistency through the years, it’s impossible to count her out.
2. Lifesize Teddy:
This talented rapper who is signed to Mavins Records already has two EP projects to her name in less than 5 months since she was activated by the label.
This goes to show her consistency and work rate, and we believe she has more in store for us in this new year.
3. Ayra Starr
Ayra Starr’s soulful voice, exciting melodies, and sexiness have endeared her to her fans, both home and abroad.
She had a global hit in 2023 with Rush and got collaborations from international artists in just her second year in the industry. We hope to see her grow bigger in 2024.
4. Teni:
Teni, the entertainer, brings a refreshing vibe to the Nigerian music scene.
Making an attempt at redefining afrobeats, she released a couple genre-bending songs in 2023, and we just know she has more in store for us in 2024.
Known for her charismatic personality and catchy tunes, she is definitely a star to keep an eye on in 2024.
5. Fave:
Fave is a refreshingly unique voice in the industry; despite recently finding herself in social media controversies, she’s still a fan favourite and certainly one we hope to see do great things artistically in the year 2024.
Her input on Davido’s Timeless album is one of the most talked about and certainly a hit in its own right.
6. Kold AF:
She’s been building a strong online presence for herself and grabbing the attention of social media users by getting featured and shouted out by music brands.
Her feature on the Ejoya class of 2023 is an absolute gem, and we’re looking forward to what she has for us in 2024.7.
7. Bloody Civilian:
The man killa herself, Bloody Civilian, is a genre-defying artist who refuses to be boxed in.
She stubbornly delivered on every song she was on in 2023, but her verse on ODUMODU’s “blood on the dance floor” is one of the most recognisable verses of the year 2023.
She’s certainly a talent to look out for.
8. Morravey:
DMW’s most recently signed princess is set to take the nation by storm.
With only a handful of songs to her name, she’s been able to give the fans a peek into her musical ability, which has been described by many as angelic.
We have an eye out for what she has for us in 2024.
9. Tems:
With her enchanting voice and soulful melodies, Tems has quickly become a standout artist, but not only is she an embodiment of talent, she also embodies what Nigerians call “grace.”
Even though she’s relatively new in the industry, her impact has been extraordinary.
After taking a hiatus from making new music after being diagnosed with reflux laryngitis in June of 2022, she finally got back by releasing two new songs in Q4 of 2023.
We hope to get more from her in 2024.
10. Qing Madi:
After breaking out in 2022 with “see finish,” Madi has found a way to stay on top of our minds by staying consistent.
Her song with BNXN, which made it to her self-titled album in 2023, is one of the most popular songs of 2023 in Nigeria.
She has a knack for relatable lyrics, and her melodies and voice are otherworldly. We can’t wait to hear what she has for us next in 2024.
These ten ladies are not only immensely talented but also set for remarkable achievements in 2024.
However, a top 10 list can never be enough to highlight all the female artists set to make 2024 exciting.
Our honourable mentions include Goodgirl LA, Liya, and Raebel.
