A Turkish club “Gulspor” has sold 18 youth structure players and bought 10 goats with the money, according to a twitter user Tribune Dergi.
The report claims that the management of the team expects about five thousand Turkish Lira (727.8 euros) for the sale of milk from the goats as all revenue will benefit the club’s primary needs.
President of “Gulspora” Kenan Bjuklebeb said in an interview with CNN that he acted in the interest of the team.
“We will have more income, we acted in the interest of the team and also contributed to the country’s production,” he said.
18 players brought the club 15 billion lire (just under 2.2 thousand euros). “Gulspor” ply their trade in the lower Turkish divisions.
