The Vibz Predict with Jibs enters week three this weekend with some bold calls from our in-house experts featuring Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool.
Before going into that and the mouthwatering lunch time kickoff between Tottenham and Liverpool at Wembley, here is a recap of what happened just before the international break came upon us.
As we bin predict before everybody go watch their country, there was no shocking results, bar the game between Watford and Tottenham at the Vicarage Road, in the PL. But how Neelie and Jibs perform for that game week?
Neelie don hammer Jibs again o!! Hin get one perfect (correct) result, after e tok sey Liverpool go beat Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power stadium, while Jibs no get any for the second consecutive week.
But both of dem sha try get five correct outcomes, meaning sey dem get who go win five games correct.
Therefore, after that result, Neelie don dey gap Jibs at the top of the table with ten points (26points), thanks to his perfect result (4points) and five correct outcomes which gave him nine points.
Jibs dey 16points now, as na only five points e manage get just before all of us go watch Super Eagles. Na the second week in a row baba Jibs don lose,
E fit bounce back abi Neelie go still dey beat am dey go? Time to look at our predictions for this weekend games!!
Spurs vs Liverpool
This game na one game wey hard to predict, both teams never drop one point this season but e must happen this weekend. I expect a tight match, but the first goal will see the tie open up.
Klopp on squad rotation: "We go to the next game and see. We have to make the best of what we've got. You always try to have your best team. Of course, we have to rotate. We need to be ready." pic.twitter.com/2tQgJwQQIH
— Liverpool FC (@LFC) September 14, 2018
Result: TOT 2-1 LIV
Spurs will look to bounce back from defeat to Watford, although they haven’t been convincing completely, same can be said about their opponents on Saturday…
Result: TOT 2-2 LIV
B’Mouth vs Leicester
Both teams would be hoping to bounce back from their defeats just before the break, but the Cherries neva lose to Leicester dem before. So, for our Naija guys and their team mates, na one long afternoon at the Vitality Stadium.
Guess who's back for Saturday 🤙 pic.twitter.com/8zL32YCwW0
— Leicester City (@LCFC) September 13, 2018
Result: BOU 1-1 LEI
The cherries would take a lot of positives from their defeat last week, but injury no want make them shine, Leicester self go wan show…
Result: BOU 1-1 LEI
Chelsea vs Cardiff
The visitors from Wales may have a star in their goalkeeper, Etheridge, but for Stamford Bridge, na only village people fit help dem comot with one point. The Blues are a moving train right now, as Sarri-Ball looks to build on.
Sarri says we are not solid enough defensively at the moment and we need to improve in that area. He believes tomorrow's game against Cardiff will be very difficult. #CHECAR
— Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) September 14, 2018
Result: CHE 2-0 CAR
Two times Cardiff have been to Stamford Bridge, two times dem don chop apako. Na same story this time
Result: CHE 3-0 CAR
Huddersfield vs Crystal Palace
It was a bit shocking to see Palace lose last time out to Southampton, while their hosts this time collect better draw for Goodison Park. But for this game, na Palace I dey tip to win even though when Wilfred Zaha no dey, dem sabi lose.
— Huddersfield Town (@htafcdotcom) September 15, 2018
Result: HUD 1-2 CRY
Huddersfield will hope they have turned a corner after their first point of the season, if Zaha no fit dem get higher chance…
Result: HUD 2-1 CRY
Man City vs Fulham
Fulham have started in the PL on a very good note, but against the champions, who have beaten them in their last 10 games, there is only one result here- a win for the home side. However, expect a goal from Alexsandar Mitrovic.
It was a fairly one-sided affair last time we hosted Fulham…
— Manchester City (@ManCity) September 15, 2018
Result: MCI 3-0 FUL
Two attack-minded teams, na fire for fire, Mitrovic against Aguero. But shoe get size sha… City go teach dem ball.
Result: MCI 4-1 FUL
Newcastle vs Arsenal
Three losses in a row for the Magpies, but in the same fixture last season, dem knack Arsenal 2-1. Na the first time dem win the Gunners in their last 10 meetings and I want to fancy them to repeat that feat or at least get a point, especially as Arsenal don turn otu away from home.
— Arsenal FC (@Arsenal) September 14, 2018
Result: NEW 1-1 ARS
Will this further expose Arsenal’s defensive woes against the counter attacking Newcastle? De Andre Yedlin’s pace with Kennedy’s may cause katakata.
Result: NEW 2-1 ARS
Watford vs Man Utd
Since that akpako wey Watford knack dem for 2016, United don win all their games against Watford. The home may have 100% record and defeated Spurs, who put three past United, I still dey expect the Red Devils to come out with at least a point.
Result: WAT 1- 2 MUN
Watford never lose, dem no go wan start for home, will Romelu Lukaku carry on his form? Yes, not just sure say water never pass garri.
Result: WAT 2-1 MUN
Wolverhampton vs Burnley
Last time out, I tok ma sey Wolves na one team wey don mek belle sweet me this season, and dem beat WestHam Utd 1-0 away. I know Burnley na tough customers but I expect another three points for Wolves.
Result: WOL 2-1 BUR
Wolves vs Burnley issa tricky one, but the Clarets have struggled from the start of the new season, Wolves go nick this one too.
Result: WOL 2-0 BUR
Everton vs Westham United
What a game this is- why? I dey pity the Hammers. Good coach, good players but na only dem fit tok wetin be their wahala, walai. Dem never win anyone and e no go change this weekend.
Result: EVE 2-0 WHU
Who West Ham wan beat now as teams no wan gree? Everton have injuries, they should be able to fashion chances but I don’t see them winning
Result: EVE 2-1 WHU
Southampton vs Brighton & Hove Albion
Last season, na so so ogbono soup these ones play and with the confidence wey Southampton get now, the highest wey Leon Balogun and hin people fit see na another draw soup o. But whether e go be ogbono again or okro this time, na that one I no know sha.
Result: SOU 2-1 BHA
Saints will look to build on last weeks win away at selhurst park… Brighton can only beat Manchester United as proven in the last 10 games or so.
Result SOU 2-1 BHA
