Manchester United head into FA Cup semi-finals, looking for a record-tying 13th FA Cup victory.
The hosts will be disappointed they didn’t create more while even in numbers, but they should take solace in their valiant effort in extra-time.
The Red devils secured a 2-1 win in extra time against Norwich during their FA Cup quarter-final match on Saturday evening, thanks to goals from Odion Ighalo and Harry Maguire.
Ighalo gave United the lead 51 minutes into the game after a falling Mata was able to back down his man and get a touch to poke the ball through the line for Ighalo – who finished easily high into the net.

Only for Norwich to level the scoreline. Hernandez combined with Buendia in midfield, before the ball was filtered to Cantwell. The goalscorer strides forward before catching Romero off-guard by smashing a low, driven effort into the bottom-right corner from well-outside the 18.
With tired legs setting in late in the match, the sheer number of forwards on the pitch for Manchester United were too much for the hosts, despite Krul registering a number of top-class saves to keep his side in the match up to that point.
Manchester United made the pressure and the man advantage paid off as the captain led by example, with Maguire looping in a 118th-minute winner to deny the Canaries dreams of a first FA Cup semi-final since 1992/93.
