It’s seems that the Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community has won yet another fight for their acceptance into a world that shuns them.
Their recent victory occurred when the World Health Organisation (WHO) passed a legislation that will no longer categorise being transgender as a mental health condition.
According to reports the wildly recognised international group objective of making this decision, was to “Liberate” trans and non-binary people worldwide, making the route to legal transition draw closer. The organization also stated that mental health issues plays no part in a person’s gender identity, they are not to be considered ‘Crazy’ for wanting to change their gender assignment.
Despite our religion, culture or beliefs, there is no doubt that this is a great move by the WHO in embracing people’s choices and creating an environment where such people can be comfortable about their decision.
