Frank Lampard’s men on Wednesday night secured their first UEFA Champions League victory after playing out a 2-1 victory over Lille during their Group H clash at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
Two youngsters combined to give Chelsea the lead 22 minutes into the game. Tomori curled an excellent ball into the box over the top of all the Lille defenders. Abraham coolly takes it down and finished past Maignan.

Great movement in the box for Abraham to get on the end of a Tomori lofted through ball. The Englishman’s first Champions League Goal and his 8th of the season.
10 minutes on, Victor Osimhen equalised for the French side, heading home from a corner.

The new Super Eagles’ man rose highest at the far post above Tomori and Zouma from Bamba’s corner to nod the ball into the net and pull Lille back on level terms.
77 minutes on the clock, William thumps a volley into the ground at the far post and over the despairing Maignan into the net to give Chelsea the lead and Lampard pumps his fists in celebration.

Hudson-Odoi made the goal as he left Celik for dust near the corner flag and floated a magnificent ball across for Willian.
