Wolves on Friday night came from behind to beat 10-man City 3-2 during their Premier League game at Molineux.
Ederson was sent off just 12 minutes in for a late challenge on Jota but City still took the lead.
VAR awarded them a penalty which Sterling had two attempts at but was denied by Patricio, but he eventually turned in the rebound of the second.
Just after the break, Sterling doubled their lead, but City couldn’t hold on.
Traore scored to give Wolves a little hope of a comeback
Only to set up Jimenez to equalize for the home side.
Doherty then scored in the 89th minute to secure the three points for Wolves.
That win for Wolves means they move up into fifth place in the table, just two points off the top four.
It’s another tough game for them on Sunday as they travel to league leaders Liverpool.
City miss the chance to leapfrog Leicester into second and close the gap to Liverpool at the top.
Their four-game winning run is also over and Guardiola will want to bounce back against Sheffield United next time out.
