The Choir department of First Baptist Church in Agbede, in Ikorodu area of Lagos state has been issued strict warning from the church demanding they should quit their ungodly dance moves during church service.
According to the disciplinary committee of the church, such dance moves especially during praise and worship section does not glorify God in any way.
The committee further noted that there would be a close watch on them to see if there will be a change in their dance else they take drastic measures.
A twitter user – @iamsegmatins posted a copy of the letter on the social media platform saying;
“Nothing Musa no go see for gate”
The full letter reads;
LETTER OF WARNING
The disciplinary committee of the above named church choir hereby write to give you a warning as regarding your dance style during church service most especially during the praise and worship section.
The committee hereby write to tell you that you should kindly stop this dance style that doesn’t glorify God during worship service as there would be a close watch on you to see if you are going to change before you would be asked to face the disciplinary committees if there is still no change in your style of dancing.
My question is, is there such a thing as an Unholy dance? The church where people express their appreciation to God through their prayers, voice or dance steps, how do one express themselves if there is so much restrictions.
