Just as he surprisingly resigned as Real Madrid’s manager in the summer, Zinedine Zidane has been re-appointed as manager of Los Blancos with immediate effect.

Real Madrid announced on their official website that Santiago Solari’s contract has been terminated following the poor showing of his side.

Subsequently, Zidane has been brought back to the Spanish capital, and given a three years contract.
Solari replaced Julen Lopetegui as manager but couldn’t perform to the standard expected as his side was eliminated from Copa Del Rey and Uefa Champions League all in one week.
It will be recalled that in Zidane’s first stinct at Real Madrid, he won nine titles in 2.5 years which included 3 consecutive Champions league titles, 2 Uefa Super cups, 2 Club World cups and a Laliga Santander title.
His other records are as follows:
Most titles in a year (5)
Least losses in a year (2)
Most titles in a season (4)
Lowest loss percentage (10%)
2nd most titles as RM manager
Longest winning run in Spain (16)
Longest unbeaten run in Spain (40)
