Sunday Dare, Minister of Youth and Sports Development, has claimed that entrepreneurs are the future of jobs, as he encourages SME finalists on reality television shows.
If the youth take advantage of the entrepreneurship chances available, the country’s unemployment rate will decrease.
This was said by the Youth Minister on Sunday in Lagos, when he attended the conclusion of the Next Titan Reality TV show, in which the most promising entrepreneur was awarded a huge sum of N15 million as well as other business development benefits.
During his remarks, the Honourable Minister encouraged all participants, saying that it’s not always about becoming the winner, but more about the experience and knowledge obtained from participating in such an activity.
He expressed his delight at the continual harvest of entrepreneurs produced by the exhibition and assured the organizers of the Federal Ministry’s unwavering support.
He urged all young people to apply for the Nigerian Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) when the portal reopens next year, noting that up to 1000 young people who participated in this year’s Next Titan show will soon receive NYIF payments as a boost to the businesses they were brave enough to showcase during the show’s duration.
The Next Titan is a Nigerian reality television show that focuses on the growth of young entrepreneurs.
It emphasizes the advantages of SME growth, as well as how investment and teamwork are at the heart of personal and national progress.
