Former security guards, known as the Happie Boys, have taken to social media to voice their concerns about their current situation, from viral fame to disappointment.From Viral Fame to Scholarship Disappointment: The Happie Boys' Journey

The young men, Matthew Precious Kelechi and Amakor Johnson, rose to fame after a video of them dancing in their security uniforms went viral.

They were subsequently dismissed from their jobs but received widespread support, leading to a fully-funded scholarship offer from philanthropist Apostle Chinyere Chibuzor of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) to study overseas.

However, in a surprising turn of events, the boys recently shared a post on their official Instagram page, revealing that their educational journey was cut short.

After just six months, they were forced to drop out due to a lack of sponsorship.

Cyprus, where they were studying, presented numerous challenges, including the difficulty of finding employment and the exorbitant cost of living.

The Happie Boys also disclosed their alleged conversations with Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, in which they reached out to him multiple times for financial assistance.

However, their pleas were met with responses claiming financial hardship or, in some instances, complete silence.

Despite the initial excitement of receiving a scholarship to pursue their education abroad, the former Happie Boys security guards faced numerous obstacles.

Happie Boys wrote;

We want to use this medium to thank each and everyone of you out there more especially my fans, family & @papa.opm who helped us fly abroad to school which we are so grateful!! After GOD used @gossipmilltv to show the world our inbuilt talent from GOD & we’re forever grateful to GOD for looking after us, sustaining and providing for us for the past 8 months which the scholarship lasted for only 6 months and us who didn’t come from rich homes dropped out from school because is very hard for anyone to get a job here in Cyprus! Ask @ogenecyprus .. Living in the country became so expensive but GOD in heaven is seeing his children through!! “Let Love Lead” Who no go no know! #happinessisfree #freeshallipopi”
