Nollywood and Yollywood legend, Baba Suwe is dead. He was 63-years-old.
Babatunde Omidina, often known as Baba Suwe, a legendary Nigerian comedy actor, has died.
His son Adesola Omidina confirmed his death on his official Instagram page @Omo_Omidina on Monday.
Adesola said in the post;
“This is to announce the sudden death of my father Mr. Babatunde Omidina. The legend and rare gem “ Babasuwe ° Other details will follow shortly! May your soul rest in perfect peace Dad.”
Since his struggle with the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) ten years ago, the veteran Yoruba comedic actor has been suffering from a partial stroke.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested the veteran actor in 2011 on suspicion of possessing cocaine-like substances.
Omidina began his acting career in 1971 and rose to prominence after appearing in the film Omolasan.
After appearing in Iru Esin in 1997, he became more well-known.
