In a recent social media post, renowned philanthropist and CEO of ‘Voice of the East’ BitcoinChief, has reassured his commitment to sponsoring JAMB candidate Mmesoma Ejikeme, despite her involvement in falsifying her result during the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
While the act of falsifying examination results is undoubtedly wrong, Bitcoin Chief calls attention to the larger societal issues that contribute to such actions.
This incident highlights the broader issues surrounding the celebration of illegality in Nigeria and the need for society to address them holistically.
His tweet draws a parallel between the open celebration of illegality in Nigeria and the unfortunate consequences it has on the younger generation.
BitcoinChief questioned the acceptance and celebration of public officials who engage in electoral fraud and hold forged certificates.
TINUBU has been quiet on the Mmesoma case because he also forged certificate

By turning a blind eye to these wrongdoings, society inadvertently sets a detrimental example for young individuals like Mmesoma.
Recognizing the need for comprehensive change, BitcoinChief stresses the importance of addressing these systemic problems.
While acknowledging Mmesoma’s mistake, he emphasizes the need to correct and guide her towards a better path for the future.
He intends to personally reach out to her and explain that JAMB numbers do not define one’s potential or limit their achievements.
He also pledged continued support and sponsorship through his company, ‘Voice Of The East.’
“Dear All! I will still sponsor Mmesoma. Whether she agreed or not, that’s not my problem.”
These were the heartfelt words shared by BitcoinChief (@gaiuschibueze) on his Twitter page.
Bitcoin Chief stated;
“Suppose illegality was not celebrated openly like INEC swearing in a President who didn’t win the Elections, a President with a Forged Certificate and no trace of Primary to University Education, if Nigeria didn’t celebrate elected officials who rig elections, etc. Young people won’t see a reason to forge certificates and be celebrated openly. While we address this, we must look at the entire society.”
Emphasizing the need for comprehensive societal change, Bitcoin Chief continued;
“If you want us to accept, celebrate, and defend a President who rigged the Election with a Forged Certificate, we must also not destroy little girls’ futures with forged certificates. I will personally call her and explain to her that JAMB numbers don’t define how far she can go in life, and next time she shouldn’t bother forging one. I and our company ‘Voice Of The East’ will still sponsor her. Whenever we are ready to clean the mess society has become, we will start with public officials, many of whom are elected with forged certificates. They are the bad examples people like Mmesoma are copying from. She has made a mistake, and she must be corrected and shown the right path for next time.”
Bitcoin Chief’s statement has, however, sparked discussions about the influence of societal factors on such actions and the importance of rectifying them.

Meanwhile, the father of Mmesoma, Mr. Romanus Ejikeme, has apologised to JAMB and Nigerians without reservation.
Mr. Romanus lamented that his daughter had not opened up to him on time. He acknowledged that he had realized the mistake she had made and had warned and pleaded with her not to damage her reputation.
He expressed his ongoing apologies to Nigerians and JAMB, seeking their forgiveness for her actions.
