The decomposing body of a retired army captain who was kidnapped and killed has been exhumed off Igbo Etche Road, Rivers State.
64-year-old Godfrey Zwallmark was kidnapped on September 18 2021 by four suspects who rode on a motorcycle at Agbonchia, Eleme Local Government Area of the state.
The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Eboka Friday, while briefing journalists at the site where the body was dug up on Tuesday, said three of the suspects – Frank Ishie, Iwuji Reginald, and Gomba Okparaji, who admitted to the crime were arrested through intelligence.
CP Eboka said the suspects had demanded two hundred million naira from the family of the retired army captain before they were arrested.
