Nancy Isime, a well-known Nigerian actress, has responded to the criticism she faced for her n*ked moment in Shanty Town, a six-part crime drama that debuted on Netflix on Friday, January 20.

Nancy clarified in an Instagram post on Friday that she was not the one whose body was on showcase in the movie clip, in response to the misunderstanding regarding her role.

The 31-year-old portrayed Shalewa, a pr0stitute who was in debt to a dangerous kingpin in the tale of three hustlers from Lagos who banded together to fight the largest and most brutal crime syndicate in the state.

Nancy’s character was forced to strip off her clothes in one scene, exposing her br3asts, thighs and būttocks

Nigerians all around the world have reposted footage of the scene, making Nancy the latest trending topic on several social media platforms.

In the movie, Nancy’s character wasn’t the only one who undressed. As a matter of fact, after Shanty Town was released, n*dity became popular on Nigerian Twitter space.

In response to the misunderstanding regarding her appearance, Nancy emphasized in her Instagram post that it was not her body that was on exhibition in the film.

She claims a body double was utilized for the scene.

Parts of her post on Instagram reads;

“Simmer down ho#ny boys and girls. I know those gorgeous body parts excite you but they sadly belong to my beautiful body double. Mine aren’t that succulent.”

Nancy Isime, this is Unprofessional. Why are you telling us?? Is it necessary? Why accepting the role if you can’t be proud of it?
