The Nigerian Navy has announced that its personnel have demolished an illicit crude oil refining station known as "Market Square" in the creeks of Obomakiri town in Rivers State's Degema local government area.
Concerned indigenes of Bonny Local Government Area are demanding to know where one of the three gunboats donated to the Nigerian Navy by the Rivers State government to aid in the fight against sea pirates and illicit oil bunkering in the area has gone missing.
The EFCC's zonal office in Port Harcourt claims it is investigating twenty-one alleged artisanal crude oil refiners.
