One Mr. Emmanuel Myam from Ukum Local Government Area in Benue state embarked on a shocking journey, pedaling his way from Benue to Lagos on a bicycle with a singular purpose: to meet Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Davido.
Known by his nickname, Emmiwuks, the passionate young man set off on this audacious adventure, starting on Wednesday, the 2nd of August.
His determination and fervor drove him on this eight-day Ride-a-ton, capturing the attention and admiration of many.
While Emmiwuks’ journey wasn’t intended to break any Guinness World Records, his strong admiration for Davido fueled his extraordinary feat.
Unfortunately, despite his valiant efforts, the journey of a lifetime came to an unexpected halt.
In a heartbreaking twist, when Emmiwuks felt he’s close to achieving his journey dream, his desire of meeting his idol was shattered.
The Afrobeat Star claims he’s unavailable according to his popular hit track and urged the journey to head back home.
The ace singer, Davido Adeleke wasn’t moved by the sacrifice of the die-hard fan and he took to his Twitter page to share a tweet that left the devoted fan heartbroken.
He wrote, “Turn around I’m not home,” a poignant reminder that even the most dedicated gestures can sometimes go unnoticed.
