In a glittering ceremony held at the Aztec Arcum Port Harcourt, the 19th Edition of the Miss Niger Delta Peace Cultural Pageant, 2023, crowned a new queen, Miss Phinima from Rivers State, in an event that showcased the beauty, culture, and talent of the Niger Delta.
The prestigious occasion was graced by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Chisom Kenneth Gbali (PhD), representing the esteemed Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
This remarkable pageant, organized by Prince Sodin Akiagba, not only celebrated the grace and charm of young ladies but also highlighted the importance of harnessing their skills and talents to become valuable assets to their communities, a core focus of the administration. In his address on behalf of the Governor, Hon.
Chisom Kenneth Gbali applauded the organizers for their dedication to nurturing the potential of the region’s young women.
The Commissioner encouraged the youth of Rivers State to acquire diverse skill sets and utilize them creatively, emphasizing the importance of generating multiple streams of income for personal and regional prosperity.
He also vowed the State’s support and partnership to help these young ladies realize their full potential.
The event also served as a platform for promoting culture, peace, and development in Rivers State and the wider Niger Delta region.
The newly crowned Miss Niger Delta Peace Cultural Pageant, Miss Phinima, was a crowd favorite and is expected to use her influence to further these noble causes.
The occasion saw a distinguished gathering, including Bro. Felix Obuah DSSRS, Hon Sokari Goodboy, Chief Barr Oris Onyiri, Hon Victor Oko-Jumbo, as well as directors from NDDC and NIMASA, among other notable personalities.
