Obi Cubana and Femi Otedola, both Nigerian businessmen, were among those who responded to Davido’s request for donations on Wednesday.
David Adeleke, better known by his stage name – Davido, resorted to social media to ask fans and coworkers to donate money to him.
The musician disclosed his account details on Twitter and stated that his goal was to raise N100 million from his fans and colleagues.
Davido, who has won numerous awards, made almost N53 million in cash transactions in less than an hour.
To prove the surge in his earnings, the musician posted screenshots of credit notifications and his bank account status on his Instagram story.
He, on the other hand, expressed gratitude to certain senders without revealing the amount they sent.
Most celebs and admirers sent Davido N1 million each, according to his Instagram wishes, while others sent him more or less.
The musician, on the other hand, has been tight-lipped about the sums transferred to him by Femi Otedola, Obi Cubana, E-Money, Patoranking, and others.
Kolaq Alagbo, Munch It, TravelBeta, and more brands also donated to Davido.
Ikorodu Bois, a group of young comedians, sent the artist N5000, while Ali Baba sent over N1.5 million naira.
MC Galaxy, a musician and singer contributed N3 million naira, while Oba Elegushi sent N5 million to the singer.
Sophia Momodu, Davido’s baby mama, also sent money to him but the singer did not reveal the amount sent.
Other Celebrities that donated N1m to Davido include Zlatan Ibile, Adekunle Gold, Mr Eazi, Nengi, Chike, Teni, Charles of Play, Cubana Chiefpriest, Naira Marley, M.I, Phyno, Eniola Badmus, Nasboi, Sydney Talker, and Peruzzi.
