Gunmen disguised as passengers have snatched an ash-colored Toyota Corolla from a Bolt driver at the Mother-Cat Junction axis of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area.
In a telephone interview, the scared driver, Segun Akinyola, claimed that when they arrived at Mother-Cat Junction, one of the passengers pulled out a gun and pointed it at him, while two other men emerged from a dark corner with firearms in their hands.
Mr. Akinyola claimed the gunmen took his phone and money before shoving him out of the car and speeding away.
According to the Bolt driver, he reported the incident to the Elekahia Police Division.
The distraught driver appealed to law enforcement agencies to track down the armed men and return his vehicle.
Meanwhile, DSP Grace Iringe-Ikoko, the acting spokesman for the Rivers State Police Command, is yet to respond to a message regarding the incident.
Recall that few days ago, bolt drivers flocked to major roads in Pot Harcourt to protest poor charges and violence against them.
