Some users are unable to send messages on WhatsApp due to a significant service interruption on the platform.
Approximately 70,000 reports of downtimes on the well-known app were recorded as of 3:34 a.m. on Tuesday, according to data from Down Detector, a service that monitors service disruptions globally.

There was no apparent indication of the cause of the breakdown. Meta, the multinational tech juggernaut formerly known as Facebook, owns WhatsApp (FB).
Meanwhile, the company’s representative said in a statement that it was working to find a solution for users.
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” the representative told CNN
Recall that in October 4, 2021, Hitvibz also reported the outages of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsAp across the UK.
The Down Detector site showed that people were mainly experiencing problems on desktop rather than apps but it managed to spread across the apps as well as the outage continued.
Luckily, the platform returned back to full service as at 10:10am.
