A Rivers resident has revealed the state Governor, Nyesom Wike is a more qualified candidate than all Governors of People’s Democratic Party’s, PDP to contest for 2023 Presidential election.

He expressed his displeasure with a comment attributed to Governor Wike that the PDP chances of winning the 2023 presidential election are extremely good if Governor Bala Mohammed of Kaduna State is elected as the party’s flagbearer.

The individual, who asked to remain anonymous, claimed that the declaration will do more harm than good to the Southern region.

It would hurt the chances of a southerner becoming the party’s presidential flagbearer, he said.

He challenged Wike’s reasoning, claiming that he is more competent than all of the PDP’s governors combined.

He stated that it is now evident that Governor Wike is solely interested in becoming the country’s Vice President, not the President.

“Is it a crime if someone from the South South or South East becomes president?” he asked.

He added;

“I am shocked at the governor’s statement. It will hinder the chances of the Southern region. Why is Wike only interested in becoming Vice President. He is more qualified than all PDP Governors.”
