Former Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has offered advice to his successor, cautioning him against political sycophants whose primary motive is to serve their own interests.
In his goodwill message, the ex-governor emphasized the dangers posed by certain politicians and advised the current governor to exercise caution when engaging with them in matters of governance.
Wike shared that he was able to navigate the challenges and obstacles set by his adversaries during his tenure because of his determination and commitment to serving the state.
He urged the new governor of Rivers State to be vigilant in avoiding gossipers and troublemakers, encouraging him to remain steadfast and resolute when making decisions that will have a positive impact on the state.
The former Governor expressed his gratitude to the people of Obio Akpor for honoring him and acknowledged that his successful governance was made possible through the unwavering support of the people of Rivers State.
While reflecting on his political journey, Chief Wike highlighted the significant contributions he made as a Local Government Chairman, Chief of Staff, Minister, and ultimately as Governor.
