Note that the view differs depending on the phone. The screenshot was taken with an Infinix HOT 6 running Android 8.1.0.
Step 2. Under setting, click on “blocked numbers”
Step 3. Click on ‘Add A Number’
Step 4. Enter the phone number and select block.
At this point, you can decide to add from call record, SMS, contact or manual input.
We recommend that you input the whole country code for the phone number you want to ban.
If you’re adding a Nigerian phone number, for example, you should use +2348013355669 instead of the standard 08013355669.
It’s also worth noting that if you have a 2-SIM device, the number will be blocked on both SIMs.
That example, if your phone has both MTN and Glo lines, neither of them will be able to receive calls or texts from the blocked number.
Furthermore, because this setting is done through your phone, it is only applicable for as long as you have an MTN, Glo or Airtel line on that phone.
If you transfer your MTN, Glo or Airtel SIM card to a new phone, the same steps for blocking numbers must be followed.
