King of Egberu Ndoki, Eze (Evang.) Obum Akawor has sent a heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Chisom Dike over Buhari’s approval of Oyigbo Road.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday approved the construction of the Oyigbo-Okoloma-Obete Road, alongside other 14 Roads in the federation.

The 13.5km long road is to be constructed by Transcorp Group under the Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme (RITCS) Initiative.

This came at the backdrop of the subtle but constant and persistent persuasion by the Federal Lawmaker Representing the good people of Eleme/Oyigbo/Tai Federal Constituency Rep. Chisom Promise Dike; triggering the duo deal between the Federal government and the Transcorp Group with the latter owning up to the reconstruction of the Road as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Moments after the approval, the king of Egberu-Ndoki community in Oyigbo LGA, Eze (Evang.) Obum Akawor: JP, FCAl (Onye-Nwe-Ali) sent a heart warm message to honorable Chisom Promise Dike.

He congratulated the Lawmaker, noting that this approval is the biggest and best news of the year and a huge relief for the people of Oyigbo LGA.

“Honourable, may I join your constituents to congratulate you, and the President, Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces, President Mohammadu Buhari, for the approval of the Construction of Oyigbo-Okoloma-Umuagbai-Obete Road,” he said.

Eze (Evang.) Obum Akawor added that;

“Indeed, this is not only a big relief for the people of Oyigbo LGA, it is also the biggest, and the best news of the year for the entire people of the Local Government Area, who had beared the greatest brunt of the dilapidated road.”

He further stressed that;

“It is my greatest wish, and prayers that the Transcorp Group will be guided by fear of God in the execution of the approved road project. May the Lord bless the Federal Government, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

Recall that in 2019, barely a month after the swearing in ceremony of the Lawmaker, he made a passionate appeal to the presidency through the federal ministry of Power, Works & Housing for immediate attention on the Oyigbo Okoloma Afam Road which was given a nod on August 2019.

He has been relentless in efforts to see to the Reconstruction of the said road.

Meanwhile, barely 18 hours after Mr. President approved the reconstruction of the roads, officials from the state government was spotted inspecting the road on Wednesday morning.
