Rivers State Ministry of Education have put plans in place to issue BECE Certificates to Candidates starting from this year.
Candidates who sat for the June 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), will now receive certificates, according to the State Ministry of Education.
Professor Kaniye Ebeku, the State Commissioner for Education, said this in an interview with Newsmen in his office on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.
“This will be the first time BECE Certificate will be issued shortly after publication of results,” the Education Commissioner explained.
He also stated that the development is crucial and in accordance with the present National Education Policy.
Professor Ebeku went on to say that as soon as the plans are finalized, the date of the Certificate’s scheduled introduction will be made public.
