The Rivers State Police Command has announced the arrest of three members of a kidnapping ring in connection with the kidnapping of Adiele Emmanuel, who traveled from Delta State after being offered a job in Port Harcourt.
Nnamdi Omoni, the command’s spokesperson, revealed this to journalists in Port Harcourt on Friday.
The culprits were apprehended at a motel in Oyigbo Local Government Area, where the victim was held hostage, according to him.
This was after they pretended to offer him a job on Facebook and enticed him from Delta State to Port Harcourt.
The suspects will be charged in court, according to Omoni, and justice must be delivered in this case.
He claimed that the command is on a mission to eradicate all sorts of crime and criminality in the state, and he asked everyone involved to stop.
Omoni said;
“In a similar kidnap incidents, the trio of Bright Williams ‘m’ 22yrs, Queen Effiong Edem ‘f’ 20yrs and Ndidi Apaka ’m’ were arrested in connection with the case of kidnapping of Adele Emmanuel who was lured from Delta State to Port Harcourt for a non-existent employment. While in Port Harcourt, he was held hostage and kept in a Hotel at Obeama, Oyigbo LGA where the Police Operatives through intelligence led Policing stormed and rescued him.”
Adding that;
“Three suspects including the Director of the Hotel, a lady and one of the gang members were arrested and are helping us in our investigation. They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.”
