Wike said that in a statement on Saturday, adding that the former government had adequate money but refused to turn around the state.
The Rivers state Governor claims that despite having few resources, he has been able to build the state and that the people of Rivers are pleased with him.
“If we had the money they had when they were here, Rivers State would have been a different thing altogether,” Wike said.
The governor went on to say that he will keep delivering the dividends of democracy to the citizens of the state and that no project will go unfinished.
He asked Rivers residents to pray for a successor who will build on his accomplishments and lead the state to greater heights.
