Elon Musk, the visionary behind Tesla and SpaceX, has introduced ‘Grok,’ a revolutionary AI bot developed by his new company, xAI.
Grok takes inspiration from “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” designed to be witty and rebellious while answering even the trickiest questions that other AI might shy away from, Hitvibz reports
In a bold move leading up to the unveiling, Musk shared an example of Grok’s capabilities, responding to a request for a controversial topic.
Musk’s tweet showcased Grok’s sassy nature, refusing to assist with an inappropriate request.

What sets Grok apart is its access to data from X, giving it an edge over its competitors. Musk demonstrated Grok’s knowledge superiority by comparing its responses to another AI bot with outdated information.
However, xAI remains cautious, acknowledging that like any Large Language Model, Grok can still produce false or contradictory information.
Grok is currently in its early beta phase, available to a limited number of users for testing. Enthusiasts can join a waitlist for an opportunity to experience this game-changing AI.
Musk has revealed plans to incorporate Grok into X Premium+, available at a monthly fee of $16.
Musk is positioning xAI as a formidable contender in the AI landscape, challenging companies like OpenAI, Inflection, and Anthropic.
In initial tests, Grok has outperformed other models in its compute class, surpassing ChatGPT-3.5 and Inflection-1 in middle school math problems and Python coding tasks.
While some AI bots have larger datasets, Musk hails Grok as the best AI currently available.
Grok’s name is derived from Robert A. Heinlein’s 1961 science fiction novel, “Stranger in a Strange Land,” where ‘grok’ represents profound understanding and intuition.
xAI, established in July, comprises experts from OpenAI, DeepMind, and more.
The company’s mission is to create AI that transcends political correctness, catering to people of all backgrounds and views.
Grok serves as a public experiment to test this new approach to AI, and it’s set to revolutionize the world of artificial intelligence.
