Fire razes RCCG building along side others, leaving many homeless in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.
On Saturday night, a fire purportedly caused by “Kpofire” kerosine destroyed a makeshift settlement in Rumukalagbo area of Port Harcourt and also the structure housing Success Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Hitvibz gathered that victims are now pleading with authorities for assistance because the tragedy has left them homeless.
Mike, a local neighbor, stated that the state fire department arrived late to the incident and ran out of water while battling the blaze.
He suggested that the fire began in a kitchen where a boy was preparing noodles on a kerosene stove when it burst.
The fire in Rumukalagbo is the ninth in less than two weeks.
