Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra state, has condemned the burning of the Nnewi South Local Government Area headquarters.
During his visit to the site, Soludo expressed his displeasure with the attacks on businesses and government buildings, stressing that Anambra would not submit to criminals.
Governor Soludo stated that indiscriminate killings and infrastructure devastation do not define who the people are.
He emphasised that resources that could have been used to help suffering taxpayers would now be directed on reconstruction and the recovery of lost documents.
Armed men attacked the secretariat in Ukpor early Thursday morning.
The Anambra governor also emphasised his administration’s commitment to enforcing law and order, saying that no amount of indiscriminate violence will deter them.
