The recently inaugurated Governor of Rivers State, Siminalaye Fubara, has pledged to govern for the benefit of all residents of the state.
Governor Fubara expressed this commitment during his inaugural address immediately after being sworn in as the Governor of Rivers State.
Additionally, he promised to provide strong, determined, focused, purposeful, and responsible leadership.
Despite the significant challenges, Fubara assured the people of Rivers State that his new administration is fully prepared and capable of handling the tasks and responsibilities ahead.
Governor Fubara pledged to follow in the footsteps of former Governor Nyesom Wike by promoting efficiency in the judiciary, ensuring the swift dispensation of justice, and advocating for judicial autonomy.
“You have invested your trust in us, and the question is how we can provide effective good governance to meet your hopes and expectations. Our response is simple and majestic. By this mandate, you have asked for continuity in leadership and like a strong relay team, we have accepted the baton to continue the race.”
He also vowed to address crime and criminal activities in the state while building upon the accomplishments of his predecessor in terms of infrastructure development and the enhancement of human capacity.
Furthermore, Governor Fubara committed to taking measures to improve the ease of doing business, attract both foreign and local investors.
He assured Rivers people that his administration will provide support for small businesses and commercial agriculture within the state, among other initiatives.
