Willie Obiano’s wife – Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, Anambra State’s immediate past First Lady, has expressed interest in running for the Anambra North Senatorial District election.

According to a statement released on Wednesday, the former First Lady told journalists in Awka that she will work to empower the underprivileged and needy, particularly women and children.

The news came two weeks after her public brawl with Bianca Ojukwu at Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s inauguration ceremony.

In a statement, Obiano’s wife – Ebelechukwu, who defined herself as a gentle person, said she decided to run because of the enormous pressure and requests from her constituents to represent them.
