Popular Nigerian singer – Onoyom Mbuka, also known as Iyanya, is currently in the news and trending on social media after a video of him assaulting a fan went viral.
The entertainer sparked strong emotional reactions on social media when, while playing at a concert in Awka, Anambra State, he aggressively shoved a fan who was throwing money at him off the stage.
The overbearing fan was booted off stage by the musician after he felt that his personal space had been invaded.
In the aforementioned video, Iyanya can be seen attempting to restrain the fan from going too far, but the too enthusiastic supporters continued unabated before the singer finally pushed him off the stage.
Iyanya took to Twitter to actually narrate the incident, stating that the fan kept hitting his face with the cash, which he felt was extremely insulting.
Despite how much they are spraying, the Kukere crooner further warned his audience and followers to never slap somebody with money, stating that it is demeaning.
“The guy kept slapping my face with the money and I tried to hold his hand and he continued. First no matter how much you are spraying, don’t slap someone with it, that’s disrespectful.” – he wrote.
